My new summer bestie ☀️

I loved using Krave's Great Barrier Relief serum during the winter time, how it nourished my skin and was a saving grace whenever I blew my nose too much to the point of irritation. But because it's quite fatty, heavy, and wasn't a great option to keep using for my nighttime routine as the weather warmed up.

This late spring, I found the Apieu Madecassoside Cream in my stash and tried using it for funsies, not expecting anything but holy batman, what a change after a week of use. Just like the GBR, I felt that my skin barrier was getting the much-needed hydration and relief it needed without feeling like there was too much product on my already oily complexion.

After cleansing, I'd layer my serums and add this as the final step to seal it all in. It has kept my dryness in check, I've noticed my hyperpigmentation lightening, and my skin after a day in the sun (with SPF, dw!!) feels resilient and unbothered.

Consistency is on the thick gel-cream side, but I usually do 3 chickpea-sized dots per application. If I feel like during the day I need more moisture support, I'll moisturize like normal and use this to treat the dry targeted areas.

Sorry-not-sorry to my Kiehl's and First Aid Beauty moisturizers this summer lol.

Skin type: combo-oily, but lately dry and patchier than
