Illiyoon Ceramide ATO Cream

This had been on my list for the longest time, but was hesitant to get it because of it causing acne for some. I was debating between this and the Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream, but ultimately went with this because a) Dr. Jart has been out of stock for a while and b) Illiyoon was the less expensive option.

Well, my skin has been going through a phase. It used to be oily, but is now just dry and flaky. Not even my holy grail Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream is cutting it. Still love it though.

This is an occlusive, so it works better in terms of moisture retention if your skin is damp before applying. It is also on the thicker side, so applying directly to damp skin using just a pea sized amount helps it spread easier. The dry patches definitely won’t magically disappear with just one use, but I am seeing an improvement after 2 weeks of consistent use AM and PM.

It does leave a bit of a film that takes a while to absorb though. Doesn’t bother me too much. Just something to think about. Has not caused any acne flareups either.

Would I call it my holy grail? Not sure. Definitely would not say I’m “Wowed” by it, by any means. It’s just ok.

Omg i can’t believe i waited so long to try this i wish i would have tried earlier . My best forever moisturizer will be repurchasing it again. Definitely the best moisturizer , most hydrating, soothnes the skin , repairs the damage skin barrier made my overall skin texture so much better and glowy. Great for all skin tyes. I have oily and sensitive skin and I really like this moisturizer. It is a bit thick, but I personally like thick moisturizers even though I have oily skin because all the “light” moisturizers I’ve used that’s specifically for oily skin were always too drying and make me more oily. I use this year round and have no problem with it. I suggest start with a smaller amount to apply a thin layer then add more, if you are worried about the thickness. Works well under makeup.

My skin is normal, with some mild-moderate acne and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. This is probably the best night moisturizer I've ever used! Even though it is thick, it spreads nicely without leaving a greasy feeling behind. It has ceramides which is an amazing ingredient for strengthening your skin barrier.

The only moisturizer that has worked on my dry skin. I wholeheartedly believe it’s the best moisturizer ever!
